ADVANCED SURGICAL BODYBUILDING®

What is Advanced Surgical Bodybuilding®?

Advanced Surgical Bodybuilding® is a procedure developed by Dr. Matlock. It combines Vaser Hi Def Liposuction
and ultrasound-guided intramuscular fat augmentation. It targets key areas like the Six Pack, obliques, LATS,
PECS, biceps, triceps, deltoids, and calves. As a National Physique Committee competitor, Dr. Matlock understands
your goals and how to help you achieve them.

Advanced Surgical Bodybuilding® is a unique blend of Vaser Hi Def Liposuction and ultrasound-guided intramuscular
fat augmentation. Vaser Hi Def Liposuction sculpts and chisels the body’s muscular structures, while ultrasound-guided
intramuscular fat augmentation bulks up the desired muscles with a natural look and feel. This three-step process sets
Advanced Surgical Bodybuilding® apart from traditional liposuction, requiring specific training in Vaser Hi Def Liposculpturing
and Advanced Surgical Bodybuilding®.

Which body areas can Advanced Surgical Bodybuilding® treat?

We’ve seen fantastic results in areas like the Six Pack, obliques, PECS, LATS, biceps, triceps, deltoids, and calves. Moreover, most muscular groups of the body can be treated with this procedure.

Where is Advanced Surgical Bodybuilding® performed?

Advanced Surgical Bodybuilding® is carried out in a state-of-the art Medicare Certified surgery center. The procedure can be performed under local anesthesia, IV sedation, twilight, or general anesthesia. Most of patients (98%) request general anesthesia.

Preparation

During your consultation, patients  will provide a complete medical history and a list of medications, including vitamins and herbs that they may be currently taking. Here are some tips to speed up your recovery and reduce the risk of complications:

  • Avoid Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Naprosyn, St. John’s Wort, Vitamin E, and other supplements as directed. These can thin your blood and potentially cause excessive bruising, bleeding, or other complications.
  • Stop smoking at least two weeks before and one week after surgery. Nicotine can impair circulation and healing.
  • Limit alcohol consumption two weeks before and one week after the procedure.

Post-Surgery

Expect some bruising, swelling, and pain after your procedure. Numbness in the treated areas is normal and will subside over time. Pain medication will be prescribed to manage any discomfort. However, if you experience severe pain, contact us immediately.

Recovery

Recovery varies for everyone, but you should be up and walking around within a day after your Advanced Surgical Bodybuilding®. You may need to take a week off work and limit your usual activities. For the first month, you’ll need to wear a special compression garment to ensure a good contour to your treated areas. You can resume exercise two weeks after surgery.

Results

The results of your Advanced Surgical Bodybuilding® will be most noticeable after six weeks, with continued changes up to four months. Your treated areas should retain their sculptured appearance as long as you maintain a healthy diet, and exercise program. To help maintain your new physique, we provide a diet and a personalized exercise program developed by Dr. Matlock, if needed.
