Botox® is a popular non-surgical cosmetic treatment that is used to temporarily reduce the appearance
of wrinkles and fine lines. It is a purified form of botulinum toxin, which is injected into the muscles that
cause wrinkles to relax and smooth out the skin. Botox® is a safe and effective way to achieve a more
youthful and refreshed appearance.
Botox® is commonly used to treat the following:
Whether you’re looking to smooth out wrinkles, reduce excessive sweating, or alleviate migraines,
Botox can help you achieve your goals with minimal discomfort and downtime.
Almost all patients are great candidates for Botox®, whether they’re keen on having a preventative anti-aging regiment or want to diminish the appearance of fine lines.
It is important to have realistic expectations for Botox® as this is a temporary procedure that needs to be repeated. When you book your consultation, we can provide further guidance on how many months/weeks should be between treatments.
Each patient’s Botox® journey will differ depending on their age, the area that is being treated, and lifestyle factors. It can take up to 14 days or less for our clients to see and feel visible results.
Botox® sessions are relatively quick (30 minutes or less), and the majority of our clients resume their regular schedule right after the procedure. If you are interested in learning more about Botox, please schedule a consultation and our doctors or nurses can provide guidance as well as a suggested treatment package!
Your Botox® appointment and procedure will take place at Visthetic Surgery Institute and MedSpa. The doctor or nurse will first identify and clean the treatment area. Then they will use a fine needle to inject precise amounts of Botox® so the patient attain their desired results!
The injected areas post your Botox® procedure may feel tender or tight for a few hours after injection.
We advise clients to stay upright for the first four hours post their Botox® appointment so that it doesn’t migrate. We also recommend that you avoid massaging or putting pressure on the treated area for the first 24 hours. Lastly, your doctor may advise you to avoid exercise for the first day after your injections.
Our clients can typically start to see results from Botox within a few days to a week after treatment. However, the full effects of the treatment may take up to two weeks to become fully visible.
The results of Botox typically last for three to four months, after which the muscle activity gradually returns and the wrinkles and fine lines may become more visible again.
