How is this procedure performed?
The doctor or nurse at Visthetic Surgery Institute & MedSpa™ will provide you with the proper guidance to ensure you get the best results. We recommend avoiding direct and excessive sun at least one month before scheduling your procedure. This also includes tanning beds!
What can I expect during the procedure?
Each patient will have a unique experience with Lumecca, but one of the primary benefits of this procedure is that it is relatively painless thanks to a strong sapphire cooling tip that puts the patient at ease.
During the treatment, patients report a light elastic sensation on the treated areas.
What can I expect during the healing and recovery phase?
Every patient’s recovery process will vary, but generally this is a non-invasive procedure with minimal downtime.
24 Hours Post Procedure
Patients report redness in their skin and a general warmth on the treated area; this usually only lasts an hour or so.
24-48 Hours Post Procedure
Patients may see their pigmented spots get darker after the treatment; this will subside and is normal!
1 Week Post Procedure
Patients will note pigmented lesions begin to flake off, resulting in an even skin tone underneath. If we are treating vascular lesions, patients can see the veins blanch and then disappear or see a color change in the vessel, which will get lighter and lighter after a few days post-procedure.
When will I see results?
Patients begin to see results within a few days post-procedure. Within two weeks, patients begin to see their skin tone even out and look brighter. We recommend several Lumecca treatments for the best results!
How long do results last?
The results of Lumecca will vary from patient to patient, depending on their skin type and their aesthetic goals. Lifestyle also makes a huge difference, and we recommend wearing sunscreen daily and protecting your skin from UV rays as much as possible.
